If you met your gf/bf on facebook would you tell people ?

My boyfriend of 6 months and I met by chance on fb. Neither one of us were looking for love but we were mutually attracted and decided to get to know one another. A while passed before we met in person, by that point we were really close. Fast forward to today we are seriously considering marriage and I have told others that we met in person when we didn't because I don't want to have to, nor should I have to explain why and how I chose the path I did of choosing to date someone for a while who at first I hadn't met. And also some people tend to talk bad on people for so called online dating. I had an argument with an acquaintance before for calling meeting people from online pathetic. I think its silly. Silly because all types of people are online and meet friends/dates online not just strange people, or ugly people or dangerous people. I'm not bragging on myself but I definitely didn't need and still don't need to rely on online dating. I get more than enough of the interest from men offline. It just so happened I chose this way. Besides, he and I would never have met otherwise.
