Is there a 'special' relationship between USA-India-Israel?
In recent polls india is described as the most pro zionist country in the world- even the muslims in India are pro-israel Fareed Zakaria (CNN) being typical. India in polls is shown to be the most pro american country in the World ahead of even the UK, Canada and Mexico. Large numbers of israeli tourists visit india and vice versa. Senior Israeli politicians have often said 'assistance to india has no limit'. Whether its the glaciers of Kashmir or the deserts of Rajistan israel assistance in agriculture and defence is there. America too regards israel as its 51st State. The US has vast amounts of military supplies stationed in israel and has rights most other countries will not give, in many of its other overseas bases. In essence, the US is allowed to treat israel as american land. India now has vast amounts of employees working for major US blue Chips such as Dell, Microsoft and GE etc. GE alone has 30,000-40,000 Indian workers and as indian wages rise, the Indian multinationals such as Infosys are actually going to America to 'in-source'. In terms of business relationships, India is more important than China as there is no large scale outsourcing in China. The are over 1 million Indians in America and they contribute disproportionately to the US GDP as they are the second most wealthy ethnic group there. Essentially, these three countries increasingly regard themselves as a mutually beneficial economic and military power bloc to promote peace and democracy.
