Are the standard model and the inflationary model of the universe mutually exclusive?

I see there are two models for the expansion of the universe, the standard model and the inflationary model. Are these two mutually exclusive models or is one right and one wrong? Is one the "Big Bang" or are both considered theories of the "Big Bang"?
